Bartender

At Mamma Margherita, the bar is where conversations flow and the dolce vita comes to life. We’re looking for a confident, friendly Bartender to bring energy, consistency, and Italian-inspired hospitality to our bar.

The Role

As a Bartender, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, supporting front-of-house service, and creating a welcoming bar experience that keeps guests coming back. You’ll work closely with servers and management to ensure smooth service and great vibes — even during the busiest shifts.

Key Responsibilities

​

🍸 Bar Service & Drinks Quality

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, and soft drinks

  • Follow recipes and presentation standards consistently

  • Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality during service

  • Ensure responsible alcohol service at all times

 

🍷 Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests at the bar with warmth and personality

  • Offer drink recommendations and upsell where appropriate

  • Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner

  • Create a lively, relaxed bar atmosphere

 

📋 Bar Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area

  • Assist with stock control, restocking, and waste reduction

  • Support opening and closing procedures

  • Follow licensing, health & safety, and food hygiene requirements

 

👥 Teamwork

  • Work closely with servers, managers, and kitchen teams

  • Support FOH during busy services

  • Communicate clearly to keep service running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous bartending experience preferred

  • Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer

  • Friendly, confident communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

  • A positive, reliable, team-first attitude
