At Mamma Margherita, pizza is about tradition, teamwork, and passion. We’re looking for a dedicated Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo to join our pizza kitchen and be part of our growing famiglia. Whether you’re building experience or refining your skills, this role is about consistency, pride, and learning from great people.

The Role

As a Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo, you’ll be hands-on in the preparation and cooking of our pizzas, working closely with senior chefs to deliver authentic Neapolitan-style pizza in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

​

This is a great role for someone who loves food, enjoys teamwork, and wants to develop their skills with clear progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

🍕 Pizza Preparation & Service

  • Prepare, stretch, top, and cook pizzas to our quality standards

  • Assist with dough preparation, portioning, and daily prep tasks

  • Support the operation of the wood-fired oven

  • Maintain consistency in presentation, taste, and timing

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures at all times

 

👨‍🍳 Teamwork & Support

  • Work closely with the pizza team and kitchen colleagues

  • Follow guidance from the Sous and Head Pizza Chefs

  • Communicate clearly during service to support smooth operations

  • Step in to help where needed during busy periods

 

📋 Kitchen Standards

  • Keep your workstation clean, organised, and well-stocked

  • Help with stock rotation and waste reduction

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety

  • Contribute to a positive, respectful kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo (preferred but not essential)

  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen

  • A positive attitude and team-first mindset

  • Passion for food and hospitality
