At Mamma Margherita, service is about warmth, energy, and making people feel at home. We’re looking for friendly, reliable Servers / Waiters / Waitresses to join our front-of-house team and help create memorable dining experiences for every guest.

The Role

As a Server / Waiter / Waitress, you’ll be the face of the restaurant — welcoming guests, guiding them through the menu, and delivering attentive, upbeat service from first “Ciao!” to last bite.

Key Responsibilities

🍽️ Guest Experience

  • Welcome guests warmly and create a friendly first impression

  • Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently

  • Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally

  • Ensure guests feel cared for throughout their visit

  • Handle payments and close tables efficiently

 

🍷 Food & Drink Knowledge

  • Learn the menu, ingredients, and allergens

  • Confidently recommend dishes, drinks, and specials

  • Communicate guest requests clearly to the kitchen and bar

 

👥 Teamwork

  • Work closely with colleagues across FOH, bar, and kitchen

  • Support teammates during busy services

  • Maintain a positive, helpful attitude at all times

 

🧼 Standards & Safety

  • Keep the restaurant clean, organised, and welcoming

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures

  • Comply with health & safety and licensing requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • A friendly, positive attitude and strong communication skills

  • Enjoyment of working with people

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

  • Reliability, punctuality, and teamwork

  • Previous hospitality experience is helpful but not essential
